The aim of Ph.D. School is to address young researchers to the forefront of research activity on Smart Cities & Internet of Things, by presenting state-of-the-art research together with the current and future challenges in building smart cities in an efficient and sustainable way, in order to provide a thorough overview of the main topics about Smart Cities and IoT and their envisioned integration. International speakers from academia and industry will give lectures tailoring their research field for an interdisciplinary audience. A dedicated discussion panel will focus on the interaction and the collaboration between academia and industry in order to depict the future vision of Smart Cities and IoT. Participants will also have the opportunity to present their research activities during a dedicated session. The school will allow participants to be exposed to cutting edge results in one of the most challenging research area, while at the same time enjoying the relaxing atmosphere of one of the most beautiful italian locations.

He frequently features as keynote speaker and had press coverage by BBC and Wall Street Journal. He is a tech company investor and also entrepreneur, being the cofounder, former CTO and now with the Board of Directors of Worldsensing. He is fluent in 6 languages.
He is a Professor at Grenoble INP-Ensimag and a head of the Drakkar group at LIG Lab. He is also in charge of Corporate Relations at Grenoble INP - Ensimag.

De Paoli has over thirteen years' experience in the field of computer security, contributing in the growth of this important and complex sector, both nationally and internationally, through the writing of articles and books and attending to the main official events of this area and organizing conferences on specific topics of this complex discipline.
He is a Full Professor of Telecommunications at DEIS (the Department of Electronics, Computer Science and Systems of the University of Bologna, Italy).
She is Research Associate at DEIS (the Department of Electronics, Computer Science and Systems of the University of Bologna, Italy), affiliated with Radio Networks. Intel Early Career Faculty Member. Her Research Interests are Wireless Sensor, Wireless Local/Personal Area and Body Communication Networks.

Dr. Màrius Montón manages WorldSensing's R&D department since 2010 and is assistant professor at UAB Engineering School.
He is head of the Network Planning and Mobile Communications Laboratory belonging to the Communications Engineering Department (DICOM) at the University of Cantabria, Spain.
He is the Smart Devices & Telecommunications Strategy Program Director at the Centre for Atomic Energy (CEA) in Grenoble.
