6 days Ph.D. School and 1-Day Business Event Pre-Registration

The first phase of pre-registration does not require the payment of the School's fee.
The school has been officially confirmed ! After the pre-registration phase you will receive by e-mail all the required information to complete the registration and the payment.
The school will be confirmed only if a minimum number of 25 students will be reached at the end of the deadline otherwise a cancellation e-mail will be sent to students who have already registered.
If you are interested in attending the second edition of the IoT & Smart Cities Ph.D School please fill entirely the following Application Form to be officially pre-registered. After submitting the form, you will receive an official confirmation e-mail. All the detailed information for the next steps will be sent thereafter. If the number of pre-registered students will be reached before the deadline your registration will be set as pending and you will be contacted if someone will withdraw the application.
Two registration of participants are available:
- Full School Attendee will follow all the six days of the event and will be eligible if interested in gaining credits. (The school will involve a total of 40 hours plus an additional individual activity at the end of the school in order to gain credits)
- Business Day Auditor can only participate during the business day.
The Full School Attendee registration fee (€ 300) includes the following:
- Attendance at all sessions (Ph.D School + Business Day)
- Lunches (3) at the school venue for the opening day (Sep. 8th), the Business track (Sep. 12th) and the Student Projects day (Sep. 13th)
- Coffee breaks
- Social dinner
- Participation gadget kit
The Business Day Auditor registration fee (€ 150) includes the following:
- Attendance only the Business Day sessions (September 12th)
- Lunch and coffee breaks on September 12th
- Event Gadget

Terms and Conditions
1. Registration fees:
All participants must pay the registration fee prior to arrival at the school venue. Participants are also advised to have a copy of their payment slip when going to the registration desk at the conference just in case they are requested to show proof of the payment on their arrival.
2. Cancellation Policy:
Registration cancellations must be notified in writing by email to the Ph.D. School Organization at iotsc.unipr [at] gmail.com within the first 14 days after the payment.
Cancellations received within the previous deadline will receive a refund of registration fees less an administration charge of 15% of the Registration fee. Cancellations made after, as well as 'no shows', are liable for the full registration fee.
Participants must make sure they receive an acknowledgement of their cancellation from the Ph.D. School Organization. Only this will confirm that their request has been received and processed.
The Ph.D. School reserves the right to amend any part of the Conference programme if necessary at any time.
The School will not accept liability for damages of any nature sustained by delegates or accompanying persons, or loss of, or damage to their personal property as a result of the school or related events.In the event of industrial disruption or other unforeseen circumstances, The Ph.D. School accepts no responsibility for loss of monies incurred by participants.
Participants should make their own arrangements with respect to personal insurance, along with travel insurance.
4. Personal Insurance:
The Ph.D. School cannot be responsible for healthcare, dental and ambulance services during its conferences. The Ph.D. School strongly recommends that participants take out comprehensive medical and travel insurance, which should cover the possibility of flight cancellation due to strikes and other causes. Therefore, the Ph.D. School and its local co-organisers accept no responsibility of any nature whatsoever for personal injury, death, loss or damage to property or participants however caused or arising.
5. Privacy Legislation:
In registering for the Ph.D. School, relevant details will be incorporated into a participant list for the benefit of all delegates. Normally this information would be: name, surname, institution, country and email address. These details may also be available to parties directly related to the school including the venues and accommodation providers. The Ph.D. School may use these details to inform current participants of school updates or future events via email. Participants are responsible for advising by email (iotsc.unipr [at] gmail.com) the Ph.D. School if they do not wish to have their email addresses included in the school/events participant list or the Ph.D. School's distribution list for future events.
